Getting Ready for Fall with the Essentials to a Perfect Outfit

Autumn just began and we would like to start on the right foot, but within budget. I do believe in an efficient purchasing process for your essentials pieces. One of those essential pieces is the cardigan, today we will be taking a good look at the Long Cardigan.

I like the look that a cardigan with the right shoes gives to a formal, casual and professional look. In terms of price, you have a huge selection in the market, but today I would like to talk about the options you can find at H&M. You can decide to wear the ones right to the ankles, medium sized ones to the knees or the low-thigh level ones. The option is yours, all according to your body type, your height and the type of shoes you are wearing.

Go on a shopping day, take my advice into consideration and enjoy the Autumn season. Be prepared for  everything and anything, but start with a nice mocha with extra whipped cream!

All about chairs at the Met

My latest visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in NYC left me impressed with the great collection of chairs from different eras and exhibit under different contexts all over the place.

From the old Egyptian Collection to modem days you will be able to see the similarities of design and the use of ornaments on such a basic piece of decoration.

If you are planning your next trip to New-York, don't forget to include at kest one day at the Met. And as I noticed the chairs as an common element all over the place, you might find another one that catch your attention as well. Let me know which one you found.

Remember that sometimes it's what catches your attention that matters.

The Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer at the Neue Galerie, NYC

I was able to see this week at a small gallery in NYC, the famous painting the Woman in Gold by the austrian painter Gustav Klimt.

The significance of this painting expose at the Neue Galerie of New York is huge, no no...it's immense.

The long trip of the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer (real name of the painting) coming from Vienna's Belvedere Gallery to the Neue Galerie in Manhattan it's such a wonderful story about history, justice and strength.

This is a story that needs to be read or watched before going to see the painting.

The movie the Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren as Maria Altmann and Ryan Reynolds as her lawyer is such a good story. Try to watch it before going to see the painting, it makes such s difference. It make you feel like been in front of a piece of history.

The Neue Galerie is located in 1048 Fifth Avenue (two blocks from The Metropolitan Museum ).

P.S.: the Museum is free the first friday of each month.

Enjoy your day, see you tomorrow.

The Metro in Montreal

Each metro station in Montreal is different, they were all assigned to different designers to have individual aura and style. Today while I'm waiting for the metro at Mcguill Metro Station after a bit of window shopping and some cold drinks, because it's a hot day in this beautiful city, I look at this great picture mural of the city for us to admire. And I thought:" this is a mural to share, to admire and to post"

Here you have some details of it, enjoy it

What a great weather in Montreal, 32C degrees . No hot coffees for today, what about the mocha cookies & cream from Starbucks?
